Young Adult Ministry

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

SJB Young Adults welcomes men and women at all stages from college-bound to young parents.

Our group gathers in Savage, MN at least once a month for events and programs.

Together we form disciples who live out the Gospel throughout their journey and according to their needs.

SJB Young Adults is built on 4 pillars:

  • Community
Christian friendship and involvement in the community

  • Spirituality
Prayer and a deeper spiritual and sacramental life

  • Formation
Learning about our faith including vocation, mission and apologetics

  • Discipleship
Leadership and service in the community

Stages of Life: College-Bound to Young Parents

College-bound
After receiving Confirmation, juniors and seniors in high school have the opportunity to grow and develop as active disciples and missionaries of Christ. Programs include High School Youth Group, Extreme Faith Camp, summer small groups, and Come to the Well.

College-Age
After graduating high school, these young adults will stay connected to the parish and be supported as they go off to college, trade school, the military, mission work, the work field, etc. Included getting connected with local community, care packages, follow-up support, the annual Winter Retreat during Christmas break, and our Summer Young Adult socials and small groups.

Young Adults
When getting established in the work field, we provide opportunities to continue to grow in community and as disciples of Jesus. Programs include Pints with Priests, Trivia Night, Come to the Well, the annual Winter Retreat, and summer socials and small groups.

Young Couples and Parents
To foster deep Christian fellowship, formation and support specifically for young spouses and parents. Many of the opportunities for the young adult and the young spouse and parent are the same! This would also include a young mothers small group, social opportunities with childcare, and formation and support specifically for those that are married or parents. Programs include The Cana Family Institute, Pints with Priests, Trivia Night, Come to the Well, the annual Winter Retreat, and summer socials and small groups.
