Parish Marathon Of Service
You, your family, and your friends are invited to join us in our first Parish Marathon of Service on Saturday, October 16 from 8AM-12PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The Parish Marathon of Service was designed to coincide with the 30th annual School Marathon for Non-Public education.
"Marathon" at the school is the biggest student lead fundraiser and all of the money raised goes directly towards the school’s operating budget. The marathon raises money to help close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a child at St. John the Baptist. The School Marathon Day of Service on Friday, October 15, is one full day that is set aside and for each grade to work on unique service projects.
It is our hope that as a school and parish, we can touch and pray for as many lives as possible over these two days of hands-on serving. Together with the school, we will be serving over 12 unique organizations through our work and commitment to serve our greater community.
Please consider joining us in person on October 16 to serve side-by-side. We'd also ask that you consider donating any of the items listed below that will be used to support our projects (in addition to the school list posted as well). Donations will be collected in boxes as door 7, 10, and 11.
In addition to our on-campus morning of work, there is an additional off-campus opportunity to serve the Sisters of Pro Ecclesia Sancta at their convent on the afternoon of October 16 from 2-4PM.
Although there is not a sign up required, you can submit information for a young adult (college, military, trade school, etc) to receive a care package as well as an opportunity to submit a monetary donation using the link below.
