Lenten Practices: The Christian faithful are to do penance through prayer, fasting, abstinence and by exercising works of piety and charity throughout the season of Lent. All Fridays through the year, and especially during Lent, are penitential days. 

Abstinence: People 14 years and older are to abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday, all Fridays during Lent and Good Friday. 

Fasting: People 18-59 years old are to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good 

Friday. Only one full meal is allowed; two other lighter meals may be eaten but together should not equal another meal. Liquids are allowed.

Saturday: 5:00pm

Sunday: 7:30, 9:00 and 11:00am

Childcare is available, without charge, during the 9:00am Sunday Mass (following the ISD 191 school calendar, when Sunday School is scheduled) for children ages 6-months (able to sit, crawl or toddle) to 3-years old.  The nursery is located in Room 109 (St. John the Baptist Catholic School) and is staffed on a rotating basis by the parents using it.

Communion Service on Saturday at 8:00am

School Mass on Thursday at 9:35am

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Saturday from 3:30-4:30pm in the Church.

Exit Hwy. 13 West (to Shakopee). Proceed to Lynn Avenue. Turn left (south) on to Lynn Avenue. St. John's is located two blocks south at the intersection of 125th Street West and Lynn Ave. To park, turn right on to 125th Street West and continue past the church. Parking entrance is on south side between church and rectory
